The Next Young Gun
My take on the quarterback position is that quarterbacks are usually developed and not recruited, but with this group, I think we're going to be seeing five high draft picks. And still always fun to try to pick out the next top quarterback out of the last two classes. Mallet's got the arm, Clausen the release, McCoy is already proven, Stafford might be better still and Tebow's the QB with RB skills who has yet to be put to the real test. Here's an article on Tebow and Stafford. All in fun, but here's some youtube video of the fab five (if you've got better video email it to scott@cfb360.com:)Ryan Mallet
"He's probably got the strongest arm in the history of Texas high school football," said Bobby Burton, Rivals.com recruiting expert. Texas High coach Barry Norton said, "His size and his arm strength stand out. He has a cannon for an arm. The deeper people dig, they realize he is a student of the game."
Jimmy Clausen
"I'm biased, but he is the best I've ever seen," says Rick. "He's head and shoulders above Casey and me in high school." Adds Steve Clarkson, a private quarterbacks coach who has instructed all three Clausens, "Jimmy has the leadership of Casey, the intangibles of Rick and the skills of Dan Marino."

Colt McCoy
"After tying the national NCAA freshman record with 29 touchdown passes last season, he should be even better as a sophomore." No kidding. He completed 68% of his passes for 2257 yards and 29 touchdowns against 7 Ints.

Matthew Stafford
"Stafford took charge for good in late October and excelled against Auburn. With Georgia having lost four of five games, Stafford went 14 of 20 for 219 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in a 37-15 rout." ""One thing that sticks out in my mind about Matthew is leadership," safety Antavious Coates said. "He is a guy who depends on other people to do their jobs. And once he says something, everybody takes it serious. That is what you need as a quarterback if we want to win games."

Tim Tebow
What he hasn't done is shown command of the entire offense, a requirement of any championship quarterback. His impressive runs early in the season made defenses crowd the line of scrimmages, which opened up some throwing lanes, particularly near the goal line. Critics also have questioned Tebow's throwing mechanics, with which UF offensive coordinator Dan Mullen has tinkered with for a year and a half."

Tebow runs shit! He gonna run over everybody this season!
